| Protest held against PHE, power deptts | | | | MENDHAR, Dec 31: Beopar Mandal held a demonstration here today in protest against the erratic supply of drinking water and power in certain Mendhar areas. Office bearers of Beopar Mandal gathered in the town here and held a demonstration against the officials of PHE, sub-division, Mendhar, saying that several villages in the area were without potable water. Some locals also joined them later. They alleged that while Harni was without drinking water supply for the past 20 days, Kasblari, Sagra and Balakote were too without drinking water for the past few days. They said the unscheduled power cuts had also added to the woes of the people. Mendhar SDM Romesh Kumar said he had asked the authorities concerned to do the needful at the earliest. |
