| 130 gms of sapphire recovered, accused held | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 31: Police arrested one person and recovered 130 gms of sapphire from his possession during patrolling/ routine naka checking under Police Post Pul Doda
"The accused has been identified namely as Abdul Hamid S/o Ghulam Hussain R/O Sangrana Tehsil Duroo District Anantnag," police said.
Police spokesperson said, "Police party of Police Post Pul Doda intercepted the accused while roaming in specious circumstances in the locality and during his search, the police team recovered sapphire weighing 130 gms clandestinely packed in two packets from his possession."
"The sapphire was seized and accused arrested on the spots, police said and added that a case FIR No. 240/2014, U/S 4/5 Sapphire Act stands registered at P/S Doda and investigation is in progress. |
