RI, Rs 50,000 fine awarded to HM-OGW in 'murder bid' | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 31: Principal District and Session judge Bhaderwah today awarded rigorous imprisonment for life with fine Rs. 50,000/- to accused an Over Ground Worker (OGW) of Hizb-ul- Mujahadeen (HM) facing trial for murder attempt and also added in case of default the accused will undergo simple imprisonment for one year. After hearing both sides, the Principal District and Session judge Bhaderwah convicted the accused today and awarded rigorous imprisonment for life with fine Rs. 50,000/- to accused facing trial for murder attempt. Court also added in case of default the accused will undergo simple imprisonment for one year. Brief facts are that on 03/10/2002 accused Mushtaq Ahmed S/O Hasham Din R/O Kilothran Gandoh barged into the house of Barkat Ali R/O Changa Balla with criminal intention and fired upon Sada Begum W/O Barkat Ali and Rubeena Bano D/O Barkat Ali resulting which both were injured seriously. A case FIR No 90/2002 U/S 307 RPC, 7/27 Arms Act was registered at P/S Gandoh later on Sada Begum succumbed to her injuries in GMC Jammu offence U/S 302 was added. Police case said the accused was OGW of HM outfit and committed the offence in conspiracy with then HM Commander Tariq Matoo S/O Gh Nabi Matoo R/O Soti Ganodh and Mushtaq Ahmed was arrested on 26/12/2002 and a challan was produced before the Court of law. |
