| Poor performance of JK under PMGSY | | 9 years on, 11 road projects of Bhaderwah await completion | | Bijay Charak
Jammu, Dec 31: Eleven road projects, sanctioned nine years back under the scheme of Pradhan Mantri Gramin Sadak Yogna (PMGSY) are still awaited for completion.
Sources informed Early Times that in Teshil Bhaderwah of district Doda total 11road projects was sanctioned under the scheme of PMGSY, Rs. 36 crore 49 Lakhs is the total cost of 11 projects and their length is 80.18 kilometer which were sanctioned by PMGSY scheme in the year 2005- 06 till date not a single projects is completed. They further said that few road projects were awarded after one or two years and these road projects which are incompletes include that (Malothi to Dugli) name of the road and its cost is Rs. 2 crore 10 lakhs and the lengths is 5 kilometers is still incomplete. Bhalla to Dhalla is the other road projects the costs of the road is Rs.2 crore 92 Lakhs and the length is 5 kilometers, Bhalra to Gurekha road project costs is Rs. 4 crore 41 Lakhs and their length is more than 10 kilometers and the other road Chaka to Mathola project cost is Rs. 1 crore 33 Lakhs and the length is 4.25kilometers are still incompletes.
Another project construction of road from 2 kilometer of Nagar Lanchan to Kansar sanctioned at an estimate cost Rs. 7 crore 54 lakhs and their length is more than 15 kilometers, Road name Drodhu to Gutasa project cost is Rs. 3 crore 57 lakhs and their length is around 8 kilometers and Basti to Dugli the cost of project is 4 crore 44 lakhs and their length is 11 kilometers are still incompletes.
The other three projects include Malothi to Dugali via Gajote (phase-I) their length is 5 kilometers and estimate cost of Rs. 1 crore 61 lakhs, road name Sarthingal to Katyara cost is Rs. 3 crore 47 lakhs and Seri to Chattra project cost is Rs. 3 crore 31 Lakhs and the length of the road is around 6 kilometers are still awaits for completions. "All incompletes road project completion due date was below in the year of 2010, but till date the projects are in progress", sources said. |
