Jammu, Feb 10: Screening test for the national body building championship was conducted today by the World Amateur Body Building Association (WABBA) J&K chapter.
WABBA J&K, in the presence of Ch. Vikram Randhawa, Member Legislative Council (MLC), who is the president of the WABBA J&K, conducted a screening test for the upcoming national body building championship to be held at Agar in Uttar Pradesh at the Planet Health Club, Purmandal Morh. Many players in different weight categories participated in the screening test and those selected include renowned body builder Sachin Gupta, Anil Charak, Abhishek Balgotra, Varun, Yogeshwer Charak and Abhishek Sharma. Two players Shivam Sharma and Sheraz Choudhary have been selected for the Man Fitness category while as Dr Sahil Gupta has been appointed as team manager for the upcoming tour to Agra where this Championship is scheduled to held on Feb 23 and 24.
Ch. Vikram Randhawa, President WABBA congratulated all the selected players and wished them good luck for the national championship.
He said that body building not only keeps the body of the youths fit and healthy but it also keeps them away from the drugs.
He said that addiction of body building is above all addictions of the world as it keeps both body and mind healthy. |
