Ramnagar, Feb 10: Condemning the Pakistan sponsored 'Fidayeen attack' on Army camp in Sanjuwan in Jammu today, Harsh Dev Singh Chairman JKNPP conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families of the martyred JCOs and praised the exemplary valour of the security personnel in thwarting the dangerous plans of the rogue country.
While launching a scathing attack on the BJP MLAs for remaining mute while the pro- Pak slogans were raised in the Legislative Assembly today, the former Minister lambasted the Saffron party for behaving casually as nothing had happened on the floor of the house . He was addressing huge public gatherings at villages Badal, Sulan , Dular and Katwalat in Ramnagar today.
Addressing the gathering, Harsh Dev Singh said that the terror attacks in the State had become a routine affair with no virtual sign of governance in the State.Paying homage to the martyred brave hearts who foiled the nefarious attack of JeM militants at Army Camp Sanjuwan, he said that the prompt action by the security forces had 'zeroed in' the militants to a confined area and averted the possibility of a heavy death and destruction.
Recalling similar 'Fidayeen attacks' at CRPF Training Camp in Kashmir in January this year and District Police Lines Pulwama in August last year during which 8 security personnel were martyred and 5 had been injured, he said that the situation had deteriorated in J&K due to the coalition's persistent appeasement of secessionist forces operative in the valley.
"Deadly terror attack on IAF Station at Pathankot in January 2016 by JeM militants, left 7 security personnel and 1 civilian killed besides 20 injured. Likewise, another fidayeen attack executed by JeM militants on Army Brigade HQ at Uri in Sept 2016 rocked the entire nation in which 17 soldiers were martyred and scores had sustained grievous injuries. Two months later, LeT militants attacked Army camp at Nagrota in November 2016 during which 7 soldiers were martyred but the State government failed to learn from its past mistakes as the security lapse had been a root cause of the fatal terror attacks recurring in regular intervals", Harsh lamented.
Singh said that such dastardly acts of Pakistan had exposed the belligerent nation was aiding and abetting the jehadis to vitiate the peace and tranquility of the State.
He further lampooned the State govt. for having grossly failed to respond appropriately to the anarchy caused by anti-national elements which had led to civil unrest, clashes, shut downs, public attacks on police stations, lynching and killing of police personnel, assault on security forces, death and destruction, sympathy with the families of militants and stone pelters in Kashmir, etc. He rued that BJP-PDP govt's policy of doling the premiums to surrendered militants , stone pelters besides registering FIRs on the Army in Kashmir had emboldened the radical outfits to go birsirk in the State. Alleging total collapse of law and order with the State government failing to address the grievances of the people, Harsh Dev Singh said that the forward hamlets all along the IB and LoC had become war zones facing the brunt of Pak shelling and firing for the last 4 years. Asserting that the sinister coalition must be dismissed lock, stock and barrel as it had led to the total collapse of politico-administrative apparatus in the militancy torn State, Singh urged upon the Governor of J&K to immediately invoke section 92 of the State's constitution to dissolve the Assembly and impose Governor rule in the State.
