Labour Deptt, DIC organise awareness camp

RAMBAN, Feb 10: Labour Department in collaboration with District Industries Corporation (DIC) organised one day awareness camp for construction workers at Khari area of district Ramban, on Saturday. Tehsildar Khari Tabish Saleem was the chief guest on the occasion whereas General manager DLC Ramban. Bashir ul Hassan, Assistant Labour Commissioner Ramban Ghanshyam Basotra and senior assistant Sunil Kumar Chandail were present on the occasion. While addressing the gathering ALC highlighted the objective of launching welfare schemes and emphasised that the workers should come forward for availing benefits by getting themselves registered with his office. ALC appealed the left out workers to immediately apply for their registration. He also listened to the queries of workers and many queries were redressed on spot. He also made workers aware of opting for welfare schemes like Atal Pension Yojana, Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana and Pardhan Mantri Bima Yojana and wished for their healthy life. He stressed upon the construction workers toavail the benefit of online registration for registering of new labour cards which facility is also available in all Khidmat Centres. Bashir ul Hassan also made aware of the public regarding schemes provided by the industries department for opening new units generating employment and avail loan facilities from the department.
