Pak wants to hit India hard to keep Kashmir issue alive in world fora
2/16/2018 8:36:10 PM
Will ever wisdom dawn on Pakistan? Possibilities seem remote because Pakistan is bent upon the plan of hitting India hard so that the Kashmir issue remains alive in the international fora. Pakistan is playing a double design on the LoC and on the IB.First its troops resort to unprovoked ceasefire violations and during intense firing Pakistani troops try to push into Jammu and Kashmir groups or a small group of militants. This has been the reason for the militants who carried out Fidyaeen attacks at the Sunjwan military camp and on the CRPF camp in Karan Nagar Srinagar. After the killing of five militants who had carried out Fidayeen attacks one had believed that under international pressure, especially under the US threat of slashing aid to Pakistan, in case it did not stop exporting terror to India, especially to Jammu and Kashmir. But such a belief was not based on facts because Pakistani troops delight in resorting to ceasefire violations. Pakistani troops do so despite strong retaliation by the Indian troops in which several security personnel and civilians were killed in Pakistan. An infiltration bid was foiled by the army on the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district the other day. Alert troops of the army noticed suspicious movements in Balakote area of the LoC two days ago. "Troops fired and the group of intruding militants was forced to withdraw back into the Pakistani side.Despite the group of militants having withdrawn to the Pakistan side still the Indian troops launched a massive search operations for ensuring that no militants had hid behind the bushes. The Pakistani Army on Wednesday also violated ceasefire in Nowshera sector of the LoC in Rajouri district." At around 7 p.m. using small arms, automatics and mortars they violated ceasefire. But the India troops retaliated effectively and strongly. No casualty or damage was reported on the Indian side. In fact another strategy evolved by the Pakistani troops is to resort to ceasefire violations in Rajouri district and help a group of militants in sneaking into Jammu region from a nearby Poonch sector believing that the Indian troops' attention has been diverted by ceasefire violations in one sector and take advantage of helping infiltrators to push them into Jammu and Kashmir. This has been going on from Uri to Kupwara to Poonch to Rajouri and then from Akhnoor to Kathua, including Samba and R.S.Pura belts. Apart from serious mischief being committed by Pakistani troops the two sides have engaged themselves in exchange of hot words. While the Indian Defence Minister has simply said that Pakistan will have to pay a price for the two Fidayeen attacks three days ago besides limitless ceasefire violations it was countered by the Defence Minister of Pakistan when he said that if India committed any misadventure Pakistan will reply adequately. In fact his mood was challenging in the sense he was trying to convey obliquely to India that Pakistan could use nuclear weapons to cause adequate damage to the infrastructure in India and to its vital installations besides civilians. It has been a pet slogan for Pakistan to threaten India by striking the country with a nuclear bomb. Pakistani leaders would invariably say "Pakistan deserves the right to strike with nuclear weapons first. "But India is nuclear ever before Pakistan conducted its first atomic test and besides this India is in a possession of long range missiles that could cause sufficient damage to Pakistan. This development calls for intervention by some super powers to tame and tone down Pakistan.
