Congress blames Union Govt for deteriorating situation in valley
2/16/2018 10:43:51 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 16: JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma has expressed grave concern over the worsening situation in the Kashmir valley and squarely blamed the policy and approach of State and Centre government to deal with the situation.
Reacting to the overall situation especially in the wake of today's incident of stone pelting in Baramulla on the forces during Anti-Militancy operation, Sharma said that this is highly condemnable and very worry some situation and total failure of the policy of the State and Centre government to deal with the situation. The situation has reached to this levels that the militants are able to garner local support to this extent, while at one point of time the people used to co-operate and extend support to the forces in their anti-militancy operations. The militancy was brought under control to a great extent by the forces with the support and co-operation of large section of people who used to pass on valuable and reliable information to them. Now when situation has reached to such an extent, even after the government's CBMs and withdrawal of cases against more than 9700 stone pelters, the state and centre government have to answer their total failure on this front.
BJP government at the centre is trumping its chest on the success and sacrifices of the security forces but the policy of centre and state government are utter failure to control the overall situation prevailing in state especially in the Valley, when the government is not able to hold elections to Panchayats and Lok Sabha By-elections. It is a matter of grave concern calling for some course correction and urgent measures immediately otherwise things would be very difficult to handle.
