MV International School organises workshop for mothers

Jammu, Feb 16: A highly interactive workshop on the theme "Grooming - 21st Century Child" was organized at MV International School today. Guest Panelists of national level conducted power packed sessions for the mothers of children of Pre Primary and Primary Sections of MVIS. Five back to back sessions were held during the day. Swami Yogesh Gaur Ji, International Honorary Faculty of the 'Art of Living', Chandigarh; conducted session on "Importance of Yoga and Meditation in Upbringing Children". His session included household yoga activities that everyone can do at home, he shared that human body is the best gift from God and we need to take its care. The second session of workshop was on the topic "Child Nutrition & Stress Related Obesity". Enthusiastic audiences had a sound interaction with the Guest Panelist of the occasion. Mitali Gupta, Nutritionist and International Dietetics Trainer insisted on the importance of healthy diet and advised everyone to take care that children eat healthy foods in place of junk foods. Next session focused on a discussion related to "Handling the 21st Century Child", it was organized by Mondira Bhardwaj, Nationally acclaimed trainer and Deputy Director at The Indian School, New Delhi, and she is a dedicated resource person on the theme 'Child Centric Learning Approach'. She emphasized that every child is full of creativity and curiosity; we need to identify and nurture these talents. A session on "Staying Fit, The Fun Way" was taken up by the fourth Guest Panelist, Arti Mahajan Dingra. The guests participated in Jumba Dancing and learned key fitness tips that we all can include in our daily life schedule. 'Control your body and stay fit' was the mantra that she shared. The last sitting was held on the topic "How You look, So You Become", it was conducted by Rashmi Kapse, a personality trainer in New Delhi. She gave suggestions about how to enhance once appearance and boost up self esteem.
