PLS releases book of Dr. Bhavneet Kaur, Sumit Sharma

Jammu, Feb 18: The Punjabi Lekhak Sabha (PLS) today released book of Dr. Bhavneet Kaur and Sumit Sharma at K L Saigal Hall.
The PLS Jammu organized a book release function at K L Saigal Hall, Cultural Academy, Jammu today where a English book titled 'Quest of Life', a Biographical Novel in English written by Dr. Bhavneet Kaur and Sumeet Sharma.
A large number of intellectuals, writers and artists attended the programme. Jb. Khurshid Ahmad Ganai, Chief Information Commissioner, J&K, was the Chief Guest on this occasion whereas Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages presided over the function.
Arun Joshi, resident Editor of Tribune was the guest of Honour on this occasion. Dr. Monika Suri, Management of Institute of Dental Sciences, Sehora, Dr. Monojit, President Punjabi Lekhak Sabha, Dr. Baljeet Raina, General Secretary, PLS and Dr Bhavneet Kaur, one of the authors of the released book and HoD Paeiatric Dentistry, were present in the presidium. The guests were presented flower bouquets in the programme.
Welcoming the guests Dr. Monojit gave the gist of the novel. He said that the theme deals with the philosophical aspects of life necessary for a meaningful life. Prof. Sharat Sharma read out the paper of Dr. Garima Gupta in her absence. He also presented his own observations about the novel and also read out written words of co- author Sumit Sharma.
Dr. Bhavneet Kaur in her expressions about the creation of novel said that it had been an effort to bridge the past with the present artistically the whole thing revolving around story of a man Dr. Surinder Singh Soodan and his wife Parveen Kaur who started their life from the reserve hills, faced the gruesome horrors of migration and at present working immensely on world peace and development.
Jb. Khursid Ahmad Ganai, chief guest of the release function, while addressing the gathering complimented Dr Bhavneet kaur for her joint venture with Sumit Sharma for such a unique, valuable and relevant gift the Quest of Life and said that Dr SS Sudan the father of the author and the hero of this book is much deserving character who can be a role model for the society and generations to come.
Among others were present include Chhatterpal, Prof Nirmal Vinod, Savita Bakshi, S Ravinder Singh, Director, School Education, Jammu, Balwinder Singh, Pyasa Anjum, Devinder Singh Vishavnagrik, Hardeep Singh Deep, Jang S Varman, KK Shakir, Chanvinder Kaur, prominent citizens, writers of various languages.
