Early Times Report

R S Pura, Feb 18: Under the direction and guidelines of Chairman of Team Jammu Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Social Activist and active member of Team Jammu of RS Pura unit, Narinder Sharma today distributed blankets among needy families of village Baggamarh of RS Pura Tehsil on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, Sharma said various welfare schemes and developmental projects for the villages provided by Centre and State every year are mercilessly grabbed by the government officials posted there in collaboration with representatives.
Therefore, Team Jammu is organizing legal awareness programs for the neglect and unreachable people living in the remote areas of the State. Such exercise of legal awareness programs will make the people aware of their fundamental rights, empower them and assert their due basic rights and benefits, and privileges guaranteed by social welfare department, to live in dignity as a citizen of the country.
Sharma made aware the gathering about their rights and duties besides updating them about various schemes and programmes of both central and state Govts for their welfare. Sharma appealed the people present in good number to maintain hygiene and cleanliness at homes and in their surroundings to stay fit.
He said Cleanliness is not a work which we should do forcefully as it is a healthy way of our healthy life. All type of cleanliness is very necessary for our good health whether it is personal cleanliness, surrounding cleanliness, environment cleanliness, pet animal cleanliness or work place cleanliness like school, college, office, etc. We all should be highly aware about how to maintain cleanliness in our daily lives. We should never compromise with cleanliness, it is as necessary as food and water for us. It should be practiced from the childhood which can only be initiated by each parent as a first and foremost responsibility, he added.
