Let Hiranagar rape and murder be probed by CBI
2/18/2018 11:02:04 PM
Delhi and its adjoining areas of UP and Haryana witness almost every day an incident or couple of incidents of rape, abductions and murders. People are used to these evils and if a woman's ear lobe is torn by a thief who tried to remove her ear rings is not an uncommon situation or incident. Apart from these incidents of rapes, stalking and murders each day in the union capital and its adjoining states incidents of robberies and thefts do take place. But even in a place of Kashmir valley, where no civilian is safe and no security personnel is safe, even if one incident of rape, abduction and murder takes places it triggers not only violence but over all despondency and grief. This is what has happened after 8-year old girl, Asifa Bano,is found murdered, abducted and sexually assaulted. And the National Conference leader, Devendra Singh Rana is correct when he stated that Asifa Bano's abduction, murder and sexual assault has been communalized. And if the Special Police officer is to be blamed for this abduction, sexual assault and murder let law take its course as Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti has stated. And the Hindu Ekta Manch has been demanding release of the SPO who is not involved in the crime. Two days after Hindu EktaManch staged a rally in Hira Nagar area of Kathua district to demand release of Special Police Officer (SPO) arrested by police for rape and murder of 8-year-old girl AsifaBano, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has said law would take its own course and use of tricolour in support of rapist is desecration of the flag.
Mehbooba has felt appalled by the marches & protests in defense of the recently apprehended rapist in Kathua. Also horrified by their (protesters') use of national flag in these demonstrations, this is nothing short of desecration grieves Mehbooba Mufti She was referring to the rally taken out by the Hindu EktaManch (HEM) in Jammu, demanding the release of SPO Deepak Khajuria, who was arrested last week in connection with the rape and murder of an eight-year-old girl in Kathua district in January.Mehbooba has said the accused was under arrest and the law would follow its course.Hindu EktaManch had taken out a protest rally on threatening agitation in case SPO accused of rape and murder of a minor girl was not released. Led by BJP leader and leaders of Hindu EktaManch, the protesters carrying tri-colour took out a rally from Ghagwal to Hiranagar in Kathua against the arrest of SPO Deepak in rape and brutal murder case. An 8-year-old AsifaBano R/o Rasana village in Kathua district had gone missing on January 10 and her body with torture and violence marks was recovered on January 17 about one-and-a-half kilometers away from her residence. The girl was also sexually assaulted before being killed by the abductors.Does the Hindu Ekta Manch feel that the SPO,Deepak, has been wrongly involved in the rape, abduction and murder of an eight year old girl belonging to another community? If it is so the state Government should handover the case to the CBI for proper investigation. Jammu and Kashmir is a sensitive state since the rise Pakistan sponsored militancy and hence abduction, rape and murder of a girl belonging to one community by one SPO belonging to another community could set communal feelings on fire. If inter-caste weddings do trigger communal violence in states like UP, Bihar and MP why cannot abduction, rape and murder of an eight year old muslim girl set river Jehlum on fire? Reports say killed by "abductors" which means Deepak was joined by other people to abduct,r ape and murder Asifa Bano.If it is so let the CBI be assigned the task of carrying out detailed investigation to find out whether Seepak was involved in the abduction, rape and murder of Asifa Bano or he has been framed simply to trigger communal passions.
