Shun violence , give peace a chance: Mehbooba pleads

Anantnag, Feb 18, 2018: Stating that dialogue in the way to bring out Kashmir from uncertainty, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on Sunday appealed Kashmiri youth to shun the path of violence.
"Gun and killing innocents will not resolve the issue. Dialogue is the only way out both the countries India and Pakistan must sit together and announce a ceasefire," Mehbooba told reporters after addressing a series of gatherings.
Asking youth to shun the path of violence, Mehbooba said that it was her responsibility to ensure rapid development takes place.
"If you cooperate and give peace a chance all your issues will get resolved," she added.
She asked youth to focus on the education and becoming self reliant is the only solution to move forward.
"If you will allow peace to prevail the Kargil Askardoo, Pounch Rawlakot roads would be opened. The more militancy would arise the more security forces would be called in" she said while addressing the gathering.
Earlier Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti laid foundation of Brazloo bridge in Kulgam district on National High Way 444 here today in order to strengthen the infrastructure in rural areas.
To be built at an estimated cost of around Rs 28Cr under CRF a 378 mtrs double span bridge on Veshow Malla would be completed in three years. The project has been alloted to JK PCC which will benefit around 100 villages catering to a population of 5 lakh soles.
Mehbooba Mufti who also laid the foundation stone of Industrial Training Institute Kund at an estimated cost of Rs 4 Cr. The said ITI would have an intake capacity of 63 seats in fashion designing, sanitary hardware fitter and carpentary trades in the beginning.
The Chief Minister also laid the foundation stone of Model Cluster village Nagress under tribal sub plan at an estimated cost of Rs 10 Cr besides to be completed with three years besides a 100 beded Gugger Bakarwal Hostel at Kulgam.
The Chief Minister also laid foundation stone of Auditorium cum seminar complex at Mini Secretariat coming up at an estimated cost of Rs 5. 4 Cr.
Speaking on the occasion in a huge public gathering at Waripora-Batpora Kund the CM said govt is committed to develop the rural areas infrastructure so as to ease out the sufferings of common people by receiving better facilities of transport, technology and self employment at their door steps. The CM directed the executing agencies to complete the projects within the time lines assigned to each project to avoid cost or time overrun. Minister for R&B Nayeem Akhter, Minister For CAPD Choudary Zulfikar, MP Raj Sabha Nazir Ahmad Laway, MLA HS Bugh A. M Larmi, Vice President PDP Sartaj Madani also addressed the gathering.
