BJP attempts to befool Jammu on UIET issue
2/20/2018 12:29:25 AM

Early Times Report
JAMMU, Feb 19: Adopting their old tactics, ruling Bhartiya Janta Party and its ideologue Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh are once again manipulating to befool Jammu masses after compromising over the issue of University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET).
Sensing anger among people of Jammu against the Government move of taking over management of the UIET from Jammu University, the ruling BJP and Sangh Parivar have also sought to express their concern over development even as they were party to this anti-Jammu decision.
The State Cabinet meeting, wherein the decision to take over control of this Engineering College was formally taken by the Government, was attended by all the Ministers of BJP and they had given their consent for the same.
Even as the Jammu University had registered its strong protest against the Government move in its Council meeting before the Governor N N Vohra and Education Minister Altaf Ahmad Bukhari, the BJP as well as its Ministers did not utter a single world against the move to take over of UIET.
It was only after the affected students and their parents went on indefinite strike against the Government, the RSS student wing ABVP came forward in their support. To avoid the wrath of people of Jammu and for creating an impression that the saffron brigade was not party to the Government move, another drama of RSS-BJP coordination committee was enacted yesterday.
The Coordination committee purportedly registered its dissent against the Government move of taking over control of the University Institute and also demanded withdrawal of 2008 Amarnath land row cases.
However, the party has no answer to the question that what the BJP ministers were doing in the Cabinet meeting wherein decision to take over control of UIET was taken. Moreover, the BJP ministers never raised the issue of land row cases even when the PDP got thousands of stone pelters' cases withdrawan.
