AAP activists visit border areas of Bishnah, Arnia
2/20/2018 12:34:24 AM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Feb 19: The activists of Aam Aadmi Party Jammu unit today visited border areas of Bishnah and Arnia tehsils.
According to press release, large cross-section of the people of the area met the Party activists and narrated the tales of their woes. There was a startling revelation that during the one and a half month's period of 2018 i.e. from Ist. January till date, nine civilians, eleven security men have been killed & as many as 75 injured. The injured have got no compensation/financial aid from the government for their treatment. Those Political leaders who go for inquiry have only photo-sessions & then forget everything easily. For the last 8/10 years, all governments have been announcing that 5 marla plots would be provided in the safer zone to all families residing near the border.
"But this was never put to practice. Even the BJP-PDP collation, which professes to more efficient than the previous regimes, has done nothing during the last three years of their government.
The people feel that for the remaining three years, they will be deceived with false promises", the activists found. The Aam Aadmi Party activists J&K strongly urge the government to immediately do something solid for the border people which include immediate & appropriate financial aid to the injured, genuine compensation to the martyred and providing bunkers/ 5 marla land in the safer zone to all such families.
Moreover special trauma hospitals be setup near borders and free road connectivity to these hospitals be ensured. Deputation of experts' team also needs to be set-up for recommending other required defensive measures to protect the lives & properties of Border residents, they further urged.
