| DPS shines at Karate Championship | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 19: DPS Nagbani participated in the Karate championship and won Silver & Bronze medals. The championship was organized in collaboration with Shito Ryu Karate school on the theme "Beti Bachao, Beti Padaho and Beti Khelao" to encourage the girls' spirit of self dependence and self safety.
Directorate of Field Publicity, a media unit of Ministry of Information & broadcasting, Govt. of India is trying to pursue the goal of women empowerment. In this regard, a Karate championship for girls of different schools was organized at Luthra Academy, Talab Tillo in which more than 100 girls participated. The girls of class 5th std. of DPS Nagbani namely Soha Shabir & Janvi Raina won the silver and bronze medals respectively and brought laurels to the school. The Principal of the school, RK Verma congratulated the students and appreciated their efforts. |
