Jammu, Feb 19: A farewell party was given to the outgoing students of class X of Alexander Memorial Hr. Sec. School by the Alexian Family. ID Soni, State Commissioner Scouts & Guides, was the 'Chief Guest", Rev. Udai Singh, Presbyter-incharge St. Paul's Church, Jammu, SM Gill, Vice President AMES, Jammu, Roma Wani, Member National Managing Body, IRCS, Anthony Igneous and several other members of the managing Committee were also present at this solemn occasion.
The Principal, Esther William, welcomed the guests and the matriculands and Rev. Udai Singh gave an impressive sermon befitting the occasion. Mansi Gupta of class IX delivered the farewell speech.
The students of class IX enthralled the audience by presenting a Farewell song, a colourful cultural programme comprising dance, music and songs which was highly appreciated by all.
After a tough Quiz Competition, Ayat Jan and Mudassir were selected as Miss Alexian and Master Alexian for the session 2017-18. They were duly crowned by the Principal and the guests and the whole campus resounded with lusty cheers. Aijaz Ahmed, Ayat Jan and Sumera Gul were given certificates of merit and cash prizes for excellence in Computer Literacy Programme. Prize for "Best Dressed Boy" went to Agam Manocha and "Best Dressed Girl" went to Fiza. |
