| Porter dies after tree fell on him | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Feb 19: A man working as porter with the local army unit died in an mishap in Nowshera tehsil while working in the forward after. Police said Isher Singh s/o Avtar Singh resident of Lam village was working as porter with the army and was engaged for work in Lam-Pukhrani area. In the morning the deceased was cutting a tree when the mishap took place. The tree reportedly fell on him accidently he Isher received fatal injuries and died on the spot. Police was informed and after legal formalities the body was brought to sub district hospital at Nowshera for post-mortem and later was handed over to the family members for the last rites of the deceased. Police have started investigation in this matter after completing legal formalities. Initially rumour was spread on the social media that Isher had died as he was hit with sniper rifle shot from across the LoC. |
