Doda club clinches Volleyball title in Zonal Sports festival

Jammu, Mar 15 : Doda Volleyball boys Club defeated Udhampur Club in the final match and clinched the title trophy in the Zonal Level Police Sports festival for boys & girls which is being organized by Zonal Police Headquarters Jammu at gulshan ground Jammu.
The Zonal level Sports function for boys & girls of under-19 yrs which includes the events namely Cricket, Football, Kabbadi, Volleyball, Kho Kho, Tug of War and Athletic events is being organized under the overall supervision of IGP Jammu, Rajesh Sharma SO to IGP Jammu is the incharge of organizing team whereas Rajesh Gill Chief Prosecuting Officer & Member Sports council is the Coordinator of the sports festival. The slogan of the sports festival is "Lets Play and keep Stress away". Ramesh kotwal SP Headquarters Jammu was the Chief guest in todays' matches Earlier in the first semifinal of the volleyball event Doda Club beat Ramban Club by 2-1 (19-25,25-23 & 17-15).
In the second Semifinal Udhampur Club beat Bhaiya Club Kathua by 2-1 ( 22-25,16-25 & 15-7).
In the Final Volleyball Doda Club beat Udhampur Club by 2-1 (25-23,16-25 & 15-13).
Football : Hiranagar Football Club beat Ramban Club by 6-0 goals.
Kabbadi : Jammu Club beat Doda Club by 8 points whereas in the first semifinal Jammu club beat Singh Club by 29 points thus Jammu Club entered in the final.
Cricket Boys : Balhar Club Kathua beat Ranbir School by 7 runs. Batting first Balhar Club kathua scored 137 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 15 overs with Raghu 34,Aditya Sharma 21 and Shubam 13 runs. From bowling side Vivrant took 3 wickets, Govind took 2 wickets while kaniya and vishal shared 1 wicket.
In reply Ranbir School managed to score 130 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 15 overs game thus lost the match by 7 runs.Vivrant 72,Imran 22 and Vinayak 15 were the main scorers. From Bowling Side Shivam , Ghotam, Nitin and ritik took 1 wicket each. Man of the match declared Raghu.
In another match HCC Ram Nagar beat Faridia Model HSS Doda by
Batting F.M.HSS Doda score 114 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 15 overs with Abrar 36,Umar Shafi 23 and Zeshan 13 runs. From bowling Side Ajeet and Manjeet took 2 wickets each while Udhay took 1 wickets. In reply HCC Ram Nagar chased the target in 13.2 overs by losing 1 wicket with Udhay 48 and Gokul 48 runs. From Bowling Aseem took the only wicket for his team. Udhay was declared man of the match.
