Early Times Report
anantnag, March 15: Stating that a group of 'mischievous leaders' was misleading the Chief Minister, Former Minister and Peoples Democratic Party founder member Peer Mohd Hussain Thursday claimed that all wasn't well within the party.
"I want to make this statement with responsibility that all isn't well within the party cadre. Reports of ground situation don't reach to top leadership as a group of mischievous leaders have encircled the top leadership." Hussain told Early Times here in Anantnag on the sidelines of workers' convention which he had organized after a gap over five years.
He stressed upon the need to discourage the mischievous elements who deliberately keep the party leadership and Chief Minister in dark about the prevailing situation.
Expressing his concern over non-implementation of 'Agenda of Alliance', Hussain, who last year resigned as Vice-Chairman Muslim Wakaf Board in mysterious circumstances asked party leadership to sit and discuss the future strategy.
"I'm not happy with the alliance and I am equally concerned about the fact that agenda of alliance isn't being implemented. It is right time for the party leadership to sit and discuss the future course," he added.
He said that the first and basic subject discussed in the agenda of alliance was initiating a process of negotiations and dialogue.
"Agenda of alliance states that a process of dialogue between Indian and Pakistan and between Indian and Kashmiri leadership that is Hurriyat will be initiated but sadly it didn't happened," he remarked.
Terming the prevailing situation in Kashmir as grim, PDP leader who was a close confident of late Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed said that PDP-BJP government must start delivering and resolving day to day issues of common public.
Responding to a question, Peer Hussian, who is also the father-in-law of Peerzada Mansoor, incumbent Vice Chairman KVIB said that he will disclose at appropriate time why he resigned from the post of VC- Muslim Wakaf board.
He hailed the sacking of former Minister Dr Haseeb Drabu, however said that much more needs to be done.
