SED officials harass female teacher
Bijay Charak3/19/2018 2:03:16 PM

Early Times Report
Jammu, March 18: The school education department (SED) officials in Rajouri have been harassing a female teacher who did not give 20% of her pending salary to the officials.

Astoundingly ZEO Manjakot assigned examination duty to her. The harassment did not stop here. The CEO put the teacher under suspension for violating directors orders which prohibit all subject teachers from acting as supervisory staff.
Sajida Kouser a teacher in the Education Department, currently posted at Government Middle School, Darran, zone Manjhakot Rajouri was directed on March 9 by Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) Manjakot and Headmaster of school concerned to perform supervisory duty in class 12th annual examinations being conducted at Government HSS, Ghambir Moghlan.
During the examination, the concerned CEO during inspection found Kouser supervising chemistry examination of the said class. As per director’s order, she was not supposed to supervise the examination of chemistry paper.

Sajida Kouser said that this mistake for which she being penalized, ensued due to the negligence of the issuing authority that directed me to perform the duty. It was their job to confirm the qualification background of the teacher before assigning the supervisory duties to me or at least execute their responsibility in conveying me regarding such guidelines stating that the teacher cannot supervise th examination of the subject of his/her expertise.
“On the next day of the incident, I received my suspension order which was issued and circulated by the Cheif Education Officer (CEO) Rajouri for the mistake which I never committed”, She said, adding that on one hand, she was directed by two officers in the form of a written order to perform a specific duty and on the other hand she have been suspended for obeying the same order.
Sajida Kouser further said that all this has led to frustration and
defamation, which I believe is being deliberately planned to harass me as an act of vengeance regarding the genuine complaints made by me earlier against these officials.
She has been facing harassment from the department officials from a long time concerning the release of their arrears of salary. As theseofficials had withheld my hard earned salary of complete two years (2013 and 2014) and on request to release the same, the former ZEOnamely Shahnawaz and other clerks demanded bribe (20 percent of the total amount) from her which she has refused to offer. After that, she approached the concerned officials many times, but they didn’t pay any
heed.
So finally with lots of reluctance and a heavy heart, she had to
complain against them for which the inquiry is still pending. In spite of this entire she never compromised with duty, but she have beenharassed and victimized on numerous occasions by them on baseless grounds.
Director School Education Jammu as well as CEO Rajouri were not available for comments despite repeated attempts.
