Jammu, Apr 8: Shree Satya Sai Sewa Kender Kheeray-Chak Halqa Marh, organized a free medical camp for gastro and diabetic patients was organized by We The Human, a registered public trust. Renowned Dr Khalid Mehmood, MD Medicine with DNB Gastroenterology and Hepatology along with other doctors and Laboratory assistants conducted free check up of patients from remote & rural area and free of cost medicines were also distributed among patients.
Earlier releasing March 2018 newsletter of the trust, retired Principal District and Session judge Cooch Bihar West Bengal Kanwar Y S Manhas appreciated initiatives taken up by the trust in alleviating sufferings of poor people, especially in a remote area.
Manhas, who was also chief guest on the occasion, exhorted farmers to shift back to traditional system of agricultural farming and free the soil of earth from vicious cycle of excessive use of toxic chemical pesticides, insecticides, herbicides and fungicides.
He lamented that excessive use of Urea DAP has spoiled the health of soil and excessive sprays of pesticides, insecticides not only spoil the ecological balance of soil of the earth but also have dangerous effects on health of farmers and ultimately the general public who consume those vegetables with impermissible levels of chemical residues.
Pooja Gupta Managing Director of Himalayan Bio Organic Foods Private Limited (Nimbark Foods) assured the farmers to provide all sort of assistance to such farmers as shift to Traditional System of Indian Agricultural Farming and also help in getting certified their land organic and procurement of their produce which generally get better prices in the markets, as people, day by day, are becoming health conscious and demand for organic products is increasing in J&K state. |
