Early Times Report

Jammu, Apr 8: To register their protest and express their resentment, supporters of the women observing fast unto death demanding CBI probe into Rasana murder case on Sunday waved black flags towards the cavalcades of senior BJP leaders.
Protesters also raised slogans against the state government and criticized it for not respecting the sentiments of the people of Jammu in general and Hiranagar and its surroundings in particular, who are vociferously demanding a CBI probe into Rasana murder case.
According to reports, when the cavalcade of a senior BJP leader reached Kootah Morh in the evening the women sitting on fast unto death protest along with their supporters raised anti-government slogans and waved black flags toward him. The police personnel present their prevented protesters from moving ahead which ultimately paved way for the minister's cavalcade to pass on without any further trouble.
However, some more dramatic events were waiting to unfold at the same spot as only half an hour later the cavalcade of another BJP leader reached there. "The leader along with his wife was returning to Jammu after attending a religious programme at Pathwal Goushala," sources said.
Following the incidents of showing black flags to the VVIPs by the protesting crowd, the police department have been forced to review the security along the national highway near Kootah and its vicinity.
Sources said that the police deployment near the protest venue has been further strengthened to prevent the protesters to reach highway and avert such situations in the near future.
