Awareness programme on Swachhta organized

Jammu, Apr 13: Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, J&K Region organized awareness programme on 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' at GGM Science College.
The main focus of the programme was to generate awareness about 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyan' among the youth. Miss Neha Jalali, Dy. Director, DFP and Dr. Satinder Singh , Principal GGM Science College Jammu were present on the occasion.
Neha Jalali in her address urged the student to become partners for generating awareness and changing people mind set with respect to Swachhta.
Dr. Satinder Singh, Principal Govt. Gandhi Memorial College of Science, Jammu while addressing the audience said that the society needs to take the responsibility of making the environment clean. He said that one person can also take a lead and make a difference by setting an example for others. He emphasised the need to change the mindset and habits to create a clean India.
Dr. Romilla Mallah, Associate Professor Electronic Department, GGM Sc. College, Jammu encouraged the students to be part of various activities related to SBA. She gave many examples of waste management that are being implemented in the college premises.
Vijay Mattoo, In-charge Field Publicity Unit, Rajouri presented welcome address and he also highlighted the role played by DFP in spreading awareness about various schemes and initiatives of Government of India.
