UDHAMPUR, Apr 13: Parents of Asifa, an 8 Year old victim of appalling incident of rape and murder in kathua have sought death penalty for the Culprits while entire nation has been outraged by the brutality and savagery of the accused.
Father of Asifa while talking to ET demanded capital punishment for the accused and said that the family was in state of panic and wanted to migrate from Rassana as early as possible. Mother as well as the Sister of the victim, stated that justice would only be served in the case when the alleged rapists were hanged to death. "They killed my daughter, so they should also be killed," the mother of the child said.
While the entire nation has been shocked by the horrendous incident of barbarity against a minor, opposition have launched a scathing attack against the BJP in the state and the NDA government at the Centre and leaders of the opposition parties are questioning PM's silence over the issue.
In a Series of Tweets Omar Abdullah lambasted Prime Minister Narendra Modi over Asifa Murder and Rape case. 'When the Hon PM goes abroad & claims to be representing 1.3 billion Indians he doesn't mean it because if he did, he would have two words of sympathy for the victims in #Kathua & #Unnao' Omar tweeted. In another tweet, Omar said, ' This is the most honest appraisal of the BJP-PDP alliance & coming from the brother of @MehboobaMufti, who continues to defend her alliance with BJP, its importance shouldn't be under estimated'.
