Tawi Technical Campus holds second convocation

JAMMU, Apr 13: The Tawi Technical Campus at Shahpur Kandi Pathankot was bustling with high voltage, energy and emotions as the college felicitated the academic achievers of its second B Tech Engineering batch of year 2013- 2017.
More than hundred students of Tawi Engineering College were awarded B Tech degrees by the chief guest Dr R P S Bedi, Controller Examination, IKG PTU and Sukhwinder Singh, PCS, District Welfare Officer Pathankot, Chairman of the Institute Er Vidhi Singh Jamwal, Managing Director Er Renu Bangroo and other members of managing committee.
The convocation started with the lamp lighting ceremony by the chief guest and other dignitaries. The Principal of Tawi College, Dr Deepak Sharma introduced the chief guest and guest of honour and other dignitaries present to the audience.
The Principal briefed about the achievements of the College in past years and also glorified the consistent efforts of the management in field of technical education. The chief guest Dr R P S Bedi addressed the students and encouraged them for overall development besides the technical skills.
He emphasized upon the need of value education in the present context, he also advised the student audience especially the passing out students to value good moral practices at their work place. The programme concluded with the honouring of the chief guest and guest of honour by presenting them mementos by Chairman Er Vidhi Singh Jamwal.
