Regional Achievers Convention held at Bhagwant University

JAMMU, Apr 13: Bhagwant University organized a Regional Achievers Convention to honour those NGOs who are working in rural areas across India to create awareness amongst villagers about educational opportunities. President of University Prof V K Sharma inaugurated the convention and welcomed the representative of NGOs. He informed the gathering that the work done by these NGOs was a pious work. The central and state governments are trying to increase the student enrolment ratio in secondary and higher education and these NGOs are carrying forward that mandate creating awareness amongst rural students and motivating them to take up higher education. Pali Region Achievers award was given to Inderjeet Singh and Rajendra Singh. They have motivated more than 1500 families for higher studies.
Mansukh Semta has been working in Ahmadabad rural areas. He said that the rural belt is unaware of government schemes of SC/ST/OBC scholarship for higher education. He said he felt honored that Bhagwant University has recognized his hard work and awarded him the Ahmadabad Region Achievers Award. Dr Arun Bharai was given Avadh Region Achievers Award. Vishnu Dutt was given Bhilwara Region Achiever Award.
Similarly, awards were given to Peace Foundation of Srinagar, Chhagan Mara of Abu Road, Chandresh of Ahmadabad, Rajkishore Raut of Washim, Dr Shashi Prabha of Jind, Vinod Kanjani, Vasudha Devraj, Jagdish Moolchandani, Girish Gupta and Surbhi of Ajmer and Vivek Arya of Patna.
