Udhampur, Apr 16: The work culture of Municipal authorities here can be better understood from the huge garbage dumps, lying unattended for days together and that too in the heart of the city.
Surprisingly the area has big public movement and huge vehicular traffic also passes through this area. There are health risks to all the people living in the close vicinity.
Sunita Devi, a housewife living in the area said that her children everyday go to school via this route and she is worried as foul smell comes out of garbage dumps lying there. She also said that many times they visited municipal corporation offices but nothing fruitful emerged.
Surprisingly there is a hoarding of PM Modi regarding Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan just at the garbage dump site and CMO office also front of this garbage point but all is vain for shifting the gorbage dumping station from the middle of the city.
When contacted Santosh Kotwal CEO muncipilty and said that we have no another place for the dumping of garbage. |
