2 day workshop on Computer Application in Sociology

Jammu, Apr 16: Two day workshop on Computer Application in Sociology is being organized at Reasi Campus,. The objective of the workshop is to provide hands-on training and practical sessions to the students to enable them to use computer applications and softwares in the academic pursuits.
Prof. Rajni Kant, Director, Colleges Development Council was the Chief Guest and Prof. Lalit Sen Sharma, Head, Department of Computer Sciences and IT, University of Jammu was the Guest of Honour for the inaugural session.
While addressing the audience Prof. Rajni Kant emphasized the significance of IT in the growth of society. Prof. Rajni Kant while sharing his experiences with the students appreciated the efforts of the Reasi Campus, University of Jammu for providing the opportunities and exposures to the students and staff in the field of computer applications.
Prof. Pawanesh Abrol, Director, Reasi Campus while formally welcoming the dignitaries emphasized the need of such initiatives to enhance the capacity building of the University students thereby helping them compete effectively for different avenues with advanced tools and technologies in the field of IT. Prominent among those who were present on the occasion included Dr. Ranjeet Kumar Sharma, Mr. Manoj Kumar, Sanjay Manhas, Mr. Gurpal Singh and Ms. Sheetal Sharma.
