| Mendhar Club lifts Mendhar Shahidi Diwas Volleyball title | | |  Early Times Report
Mendhar, Apr 25: Outplaying Raja Club , by 100 points in a closely fought summit clash Mendhar Club lifted the title of the Mendhar Shahidi Diwas Kabaddi Tournament organized by the local community with the support of the Army at the OP Hill Stadium, Mendhar.
The see saw battle between the two teams saw the players displaying exquisite skills, with Mendhar Club, eventually winning 106- 100. The event which was conducted to commemorate the Mendhar Shahidi Diwas commenced on 23April 2018 and saw wide spread enthusiastic participation of youth from areas of Mendhar Tehsil, including Chattral Harni, Nakamanjhari Salwah Pathaateer and Mendhar. The chief guest on the occasion gave away prizes to the winners, runner up teams and the organising committee. A Know Your Army Mela which included an equipment display was also organised on the occasion to spread awareness amongst the youth. The participation of youth from all sections of society clearly exhibited their enthusiasm. Prominent amongst those present were Commanding Officer of local Mendhar Battalion Rayaz Tanatry SDPO, Mendhar Senior Lecture Mohd Amlam M S Nazki Journalist and President Press Council of Mendhar Poonch among others. The locals thanked the Army for this noble initiative to reach out to the youth. |
