| Some top BJP leaders likely to face wrath of high command | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 25: Many senior leaders of the BJP are likely to face wrath of party high command because central leadership is annoyed over the way party in J&K has surrendered before PDP to remain in power. Failure of the BJP leadership, especially ministers in the government, to get controversial decisions withdrawn has not gone well in the central leadership.
Credible sources said that central leadership is almost convinced that state BJP leadership including ministers and office bearers have failed to protect party's interests despite being part of the government. "For the last one and half month, BJP is demanding withdrawal of controversial minutes of the meeting of the Tribal Affairs Ministry but PDP leadership is not doing the same", sources said and added that high command is very concerned over growing peoples' anger against BJP in Jammu region which was considered as stronghold of the party. Failure of the party ministers to be assertive before PDP leadership has taken very seriously by the party.
High command has taken very serious note that even office bearers of the party were desperate to become ministers, sources said and added that high command has made it clear that those who are managing affairs of the party should not aspire for ministerial berths.
Credible sources said that when list of probable ministers, prepared by the state unit of the party, placed before high command some central leaders took very serious note as names of some senior office bearers were also incorporated in the list.
Sources said that a senior central leader lashed out state leaders for their desperation to become ministers. |
