Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 25: The J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu (JKHCBAJ) has finally submitted its affidavit the Supreme Court of India. The Association through its affidavit told the apex court that Jammu lawyers are not just lawyers but they are also Indian nationals and it is their fundamental duty to not only uphold the justice system but also the unity and integrity of India.
"It is our duty to fight out break-India and anti-national forces," the affidavit said, and added that it took to agitational path early this month convinced that there was threat to their own security and to the national security. It was the terror attack on Sunjwan Army Camp in Jammu which shook the whole nation and the Jammu lawyers were equally shocked, the affidavit said, adding that they couldn't watch as a mute spectator the ongoing demographic changes in Jammu and settlement of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis "near Army camps, railway station, airport, under bridges, on Jammu high hills and along the national highway".
In fact, the Jammu lawyers through their affidavit took up the issues which have made the life of the people of Jammu insecure and threatened their very existence and survival in the homes and hearths. It is clear from the affidavit that they are determined to take forward their movement against the ongoing demographic changes in Jammu and against the Rohingya and Bangladeshi illegal immigrants.
All in all, it can be said that Jammu lawyers are holding their ground firmly.
