| ReT Forum holds protest for SSA Salary, Transfer Policy | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 25: Up in arms against the casual approach of the government to resolve the burning issue of SSA salary , J&K ReT Teachers' Forum held day long protests at all the District headquarters of the state today.
At Udhampur hundreds of ReTs led by State President Vinod Sharma, State Chief Coordinator Sukhdev Singh Sumbria and District President Lekh Raj Parihar gathered at Mini Stadium . While speaking on the occasion Mr Vinod Sharma lamented the government for its failure to heal the miseries of SSA Teachers who are without salary for last 3 months. He said that SSA teachers are the most sufferers in the department as they don't get their salaries on time and their families are suffering a lot as they are unable to provide basic facilities including proper food and clothing to their children and medicines to their ailing parents which is a matter of great concern,he said adding that this callous attitude of the government has forced them to come on roads by leaving their schools. He also said that in spite announced on the floor of the House, transfer policy has not been implemented by the government thereby forcing the ReTs to come on roads. Later the protesters in the form of rally moved towards DC Office passing through different bazaars and traffic remained jammed for sometime in front of DC Office. |
