JAMMU, May 3: The suspicion and doubts over the Crime Branch investigation in infamous Rasana rape and murder case is growing with each passing day with several questions being raised over the alleged presence of one of the accused Vishal Jangotra, who has been named in the charge sheet, at the crime spot.
After revelations made by a national news channel that Vishal in fact was in Meerapur on January 12 and January 15 which was substantiated through the medium of CCTV footages of two different ATMs belonging to Corporation Bank and State Bank of India respectively. The CCTV footages of the ATMs showed that Vishal withdrew cash on both the occasions.
Following the disclosure, the questions are being raised that whether Vishal was falsely implicated in the Rasana case.
Meanwhile, fresh statements made before a national news channel by the three roommates of Vishal has further deepened the suspicion over Crime Branch investigation as they told the channel that Vishal was with them in Meerapur from January 9 to 15. The three boys Sahil, Neeraj and Sachin are the roommates of Vishal and all of them appeared along with Vishal appeared in the examination held in the month of January.
The three friends of Vishal said that the Crime Branch sleuths intimidated and even thrashed them and forced them to speak only what was told to speak.
One of Vishal's roommates, Sachin said that the Crime Branch officers summoned him on March 19 and was subjected to rigorous questioning for about one and half hour. Narrating his tale of woes Sachin said that after the questioning got over, the Crime Branch sleuths asked him to say that Vishal was present in Kathua on the fateful day. He said that cops slapped him several times and even hit him on the legs.
Sachin further said that in the meantime Vishal was brought in front of him and he begged of him to accept the Crime Branch theory which baffled him.
Sachin said that the next day he again was summoned by the Crime Branch team and this time Sahil and Neeraj were also called adding that both of them were also pressurized and coerced to agree to the Crime Branch theory.
Sachin also disclosed that the Crime Branch team forced him to copy the signature of Vishal for which he was forcefully made to sign like Vishal on 60 sheets of paper and also made to admit that he had signed on behalf of Vishal on the day of examinations.
