Kashmir centric politicians turn 'spokespersons' of terrorists?
5/10/2018 11:54:07 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, May 10: Kashmir centric politicians are once again trying to act as the spokespersons of terrorists and separatists and are trying to defend them by asking Government of India to announce ceasefire.
A defence analyst while talking to Early Times said, "Security Forces have tightened the noose around the terrorists and they are being trapped and killed. They are being eliminated to ensure that peace returns to Kashmir. And everyone is of the opinion that there is nothing wrong in it." He said, "Politicians should stay away from the security related issues and concentrate on the issues which touch the skin of a common man." An observer said that Kashmir centric politicians by demanding ceasefire are trying to appease the separatists and the people sitting across the Line of Control who have waged a war against India. "It's unfortunate that PDP led government is not learning from its mistakes. It granted amnesty to 9000 stone-pelters and the move has backfired," he said. "Today the same stone-pelters are calling the shots and are targeting the tourists and students." He said that stone pelters are the ones who later pick up the guns and challenge the system. "Security Forces have almost wiped the top militant leadership from south Kashmir and the new recruits are also being cornered. Kashmiri politicians by seeking truce it looks like want to give terrorists a chance to regroup and reorganize themselves. But Security Forces won't allow it to happen." Another analyst said, "The Government of India spends crores to provide security to the Kashmir centric politicians. They also know it very well that they cannot move around without the security cover as the terrorists want to kill them. Despite them being aware about the ground situation they want GoI to call a truce so that terrorists get an open field and do whatever they like." A politician said, "Nationalist people are the major stakeholders. It's strange that no one wants to talk about them in Kashmir. Even the politicians, who enjoy all the privileges just talk about saving terrorists and anti-nationals. They have nothing to do with the people who are bothered about the country and are sacrificing their lives to keep the tricolor flying in Kashmir."
He said that people who are unhappy with the system and want to act as the saviours of the anti-nationals should quit mainstream politics and join separatists.
