Early Times Report

Jammu /RAMNAGAR/MAJALTA, May 10: Continuing his campaign to seek CBI investigation into Rasana case, the former minister Choudhary Lal Singh held a series of public rallies in Jammu and tehsil Ramnagar today.
Choudhary Lal Singh along with his supporters took out a candle march in Rehari area of Jammu city in favour of a CBI inquiry into Rasana case
Hundreds of people attended Lal Singh's public meeting before taking part in his candle march seeking CBI probe in Rasana case. Addressing the gathering, Singh said that if a CBI inquiry can be conducted to investigate a minor incident in Kashmir, why the state government is hesitant to get the CBI investigate the Rasana case? Does the state government feel that if the probe is handed over to the CBI it might spill the beans of its mischief?
Meanwhile addressing the public gatherings at Ramnagar, Manwal, Battal and other places, the senior BJP leader Choudhary Lal Singh said that CBI investigation is the only way to provide justice into Rasana case. Singh said that for the last 25 days, he visited several places and took out rallies also to seek CBI probe in Rasana case. He alleged that Crime Branch intimidated the youth in the name of investigation and created a false story.
Singh added that when he went to Rasana where people pleaded to hand over the probe to CBI to trace out the facts adding that five ministers as well as party president met Chief Minister and asked her to hand over the probe to CBI but she refused and told that she believes in Crime Branch investigation.
Lal Singh said that he told the Chief Minister that the entire issue is complicated and CBI investigation is the only way to bring out the truth. Singh said that Mehbooba Mufti had demanded a CBI probe into the 'rape and murder' case of Shopian sisters-in-law in 2009 while in opposition but opposed the same into the Kathua case but her hesitation to order CBI investigation in Rasana case shows her double standards.
Lal Singh further said that don't underestimate the power of Dogras adding that Dogras are Hindus, Muslims and Sikhs, who live in Jammu with brotherhood and communal harmony.
Lal Singh roared that he is going to take out a mega rally at Londi Morh, Hira Nagar very shortly in which lakhs of people will raise the demand of CBI probe in Rasana case.
