| YCET organizes Faculty Development Program | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, May 18: Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) organized two weeks Faculty Development Program (FDP) through ICT on 'Research Methodology' in collaboration with National Institute of Teachers Training and Research (NITTTR), Chandigarh. The short term course was conducted from May 7, to May 18, 2018 for the faculty members to provide them a comprehensive overview of a broad range of research paradigms and methods.
Er. Robin Kumar (COD, Computer and I.T engineering) was the coordinator of the course and it was attended by 25 faculty members of the institute. The FDP covered topics like selecting and defining a research problem, emerging areas of research in various fields of engineering, writing journal articles, data analysis, formulation of a research proposal, ethics in research and issues faced by researchers. The course was inaugurated by Dr. Sunil Dutt, who briefed the participants regarding the subjects chosen for the FDP and highlighted the reasons and significance of the same. Dr. P.K Tulsi, Er. Amandeep Kaur, Dr. K.C Lachhwani, Er. Amardev Singh and Dr. S.S Pattnaik were other resource persons for the course. The valediction of the course was held on May 18, 2017, in the presence of Dr. Arvind Dewangan, Director YCET who appreciated NITTTR for conducting the FDP and encouraged the participants for attending more such courses in future and pursuing higher research. |
