JAMMU, June 10: Family members of deceased 18-yr-old youth protested against the Government Medical College (GMC) administration for keeping his body in a store for whole night.
Police claims that the youth died of drug overdose and his body was found in a car from Bhatindi area last evening. The body was later shifted to GMC for postmortem.
"The body of deceased identified as Asif, son of Shamasdin was not stored in mortuary but kept in a store," alleged the family members, adding that no one from hospital administration bothered to listen to them.
Today morning, the postmortem was conducted and body was in bad shape, said the family members. Meanwhile, doctors at GMC hospital refused to comment on the issue. |
