Jammu, June 10: Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Poonch of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) conducted Kissan Ghoshti programme at KVK complex. Dr. V. P.Chahal, ADG,Agri-Extension ICAR,New Delhi was the chief guest and Dr. Rajbir Singh, Director Icar-ATARI,Zone-1 Ludhiana was the guest of honour.
Dr. R.K. Arora, Associate Director Extension(KVKs), SKUAST-Jammu formally welcomed the chief guest and guest of honour.
While interacting with the farmers, Dr.V.P.Chahal welcomed the efforts made by the progressive farmers to achieve higher yields and improving the quality of different kharif and rabi crops along with fruits and vegetables.
During the interaction, he impressed upon the farmers about use of quality seed and highlighted the need for increasing pulse and fodder production in Poonch district. The programme ended with the vote of thanks presented by Dr. Ajay Gupta, Sr. Scientist & Head KVK Poonch. |
