Jammu, June 10: State NCP President and Former Minister Thakur Randhir Singh while addressing the gathering on 20th Foundation day of the\ Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) said that this foundation day is being celebrated at a time when the growing intolerance and the arrogance of the ruling party , poses a serious threat to the socialist , secular , and democratic setup of the society as envisaged in the constitution of the country. No political party in the country , by itself , is capable of resisting the communal authoritarian forces. The people has accepted the NCP whole heartedly at the very inception of the party, NCP was conferred the national party status by the Election Commission of the India by evaluating the performance of the party in the General elections in 1999 which we contested all alone just four months after the formation of the party in 1999 in Mumbai under the dynamic leadership of Sharad Pawar,National President , we have expanded our base to all the states and Union territories of the country and continued to be the national party. Singh said Sharad Pawar who is the tallest national leader much more experienced, very respected ,capable and a unifying force in the country for different secular parties. |
