Jan tours far flung Loran area of Poonch

POONCH, June 18: A team of National Conference (NC) leaders today visited far flung Loran area of district Poonch and held a meeting with villagers to get first hand information of their problems.
Team was headed by Provincial President of Youth NC, Ajaz Jan.
During their visit, NC leaders were called upon by locals of the area who put forth a number of problems and demanded that work on road Wand Tantry - Thanda Ban started in 2013 should be resumed as the same has been suspended by present government for reasons better known to concerned department. People also demanded balance ration of last three months besides need to bring betterment in power sector of the area. Locals also projected the demand of issuance of balance cement for panchayat level works.
They also highlighted the problem related government's callous approach towards seasonal school selection.
The main demand by the people was related to probe in a tourism project of the area and they alleged that tourism department has not worked in a transparent manner on a tourism project of the area. Addressing the people, Ajaz Jan said that he will soon call upon senior officers of district administration and will put forth all their demands with an aim to get the same redressed.
"On papers, things are fine and on ground, things are worst," Jan said asking government to realize the difference between the both.
