Kishtwar: 2 terror suspects sent to police remand

Kishtwar, July 2: The Chief Judicial Magistrate Kishtwar on Monday sent two persons arrested by Kishtwar police for running and operating terror module in Kishtwar to 10 days police custody.
The police presented both the accused, Rameez Ahmed Wani, son of Master Javed Ahmed Wani, of Tandar Dachan, and Nissar Ahmed Ganie, son of Bashir Ahmed Ganie, originally from Amratgarh, Doda and at present residing in Deewaro Link Road Kishtwar, before the court of CJM Kishtwar. The CJM after going through the details of the case granted 10 days police remand of both the accused in case FIR No.182/2018 u/s 120-B, 121,121-A , 4/5 Explosives Act, 7/25 Indian Arms Act and 3/13 Unlawful Activities Act register in police station Kishtwar against the two and others.
Meanwhile Kishtwar police during its continuous investigation into the case has reportedly zeroed in more suspects and has launched manhunt to nab them.
The sources said that several police teams were constituted to carry out raids at various places to find out the more links that will take the police to Hizb commander Mohammad Amin Butt alias Jahinger Saroori who is the longest surviving militant in the history of Jammu and Kashmir and is active for last nearly three decades.
The sources said that keeping in view of sensitivity of the case involving recruiting of youths in militancy ranks as well as involvement of high profile hawala racket, National Investigating Agency (NIA) looking forward to join the probe since the Hizb commander Jahinger Saroori is wanted in September 7, 2011 Delhi High Court Blast case probed by the NIA and carried the cash reward of Rs. 20 lacs since NIA court declared him absconding in the Delhi High Court blast case. However the sources did not confirm whether the NIA will travel to Kishtwar to join the probe or they will be shifted to JIC Jammu for further questioning.
The sources confirm the "Early Times" that police is mulling to shift both the accused persons to joint interrogation center Jammu for advance and scientific questioning so that more information could be gathered with regard to operating of OGW network of Hizbul Mujahideen in Kishtwar.
The sources said that more arrest in the case is likely in coming days.
