Corrupt forest employee ruins JKSRTC
7/4/2018 11:54:21 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, July 4: An alleged corrupt employee of State Forest Corporation, who had managed his deputation in Jammu and Kashmir State Road Transport Corporation (JKSRTC) years back, has now become an In-charge Depot Manager in violation of norms.
Sources in Corporation informed Early Times that the nonchalant attitude of officials of corporation could be gauged from the fact that recently the State Road Transport Corporation published an order with vide no. JKSRTC/GMA/EC/III/118 dated 12/05/2018 wherein an employee who had been working as PA to General Manager (operation) Jammu was transferred and posted as In-charge Depot in violation of norms.
"However, the person who has been working as PA to General Manager is not at all entitled for the post of Depot Manager but due to his proximity with the power corridor and higher officials of the corporation, he has managed to get prime posting as In-charge Depot Manager", said source while wishing anonymity.
Sources further said that the department had initiated an enquiry against him for forging service book and absorption in the Corporation on fake order but the report is still pending. "Now the management in violation of all rules and regulations in first instance promoted him from steno to the post of Personal Assistant without the outcome of the enquiry report and again rewarded him prime posting as traffic Manager", he said.
"There are sufficient numbers of Traffic Managers are available in the corporation but they ironically are being utilized on lower posts of Depot Managers in violation of law", sources alleged.
Some of the employees had written a letter to Chairman of JKSRTC for illegal practices done by the officials of the corporation but he failed to initiate action against erring official and now the employee of the corporation have written to Governor seeking action against the blue eyed who managed a prime posting in violation of norms.
