Jammu, July 6: Renowned glamorous gorgeous models of the country are in the city of temples, to walk the ramp and display the garments designed by the budding designers of National Institute of fashion design (NIFD).
Introducing the models to the media at the Press meet and photo session here today, show director, Pallab Bose said that these leading models accompanied here are all and sundry from Mumbai and Delhi.
He added that these will display the dresses designed by the students of NIFD. The models which were introduced by Pallab Bose introduced Rashi Yadav, Hina Khan, Pooja Bhasin ,Priyanka Khatri, Monika Swami, Aditi Sharma , Divya Mamgain etc.
Chairperson NIFD, Vanita Thakur who is instrumental in holding the mega event introduced the theme of the show as "Cherry Blossoms ..Spring is here again". As the Japanese cherry blossom trees in Spring are full of flowers and brings smiles on the face of everyone , similarly all the garments have been really made by lots of hard work and burning of midnight oil by students as their term end project work", NIFD Chairperson maintained. She added that that there are 9 rounds in all out of which 7 rounds are of the present students. Two rounds of the ex-students of the institute Sunita Anand under the brand of "Kbg Kashmiri kreations" and Nidhi Gupta running her brand "Home Saaz" and both have carved a niche for themselves in the city and one round of Ragvarah an all men's Studio soon to be launched in the City. |
