JKFFA pays rich tributes to Kargil martyrs on Vijay Diwas

Jammu, July 26: The J&K Freedom Fighters' Association (JKFFA) on Thursday paid tributes to martyrs on Vijay Divas here at Dogra Shaurya Sthal, Ampbhalla under the chairmanship of JKFFA President Ved Gandotra where Shri Ram Sena State President, Rajiv Mahajan was the Chief Guest.
On this occasion students of Luthra Academy also paid their tributes to Martyrs of Kargil war. Floral tributes were paid to the martyrs and candles were lit in their honour. A two minutes silence was also observed.
Speaking on the occasion, the members remembered all the martyrs and said that the Indian Army was the best army in the world. Speaking on the occasion, Mahajan saluted the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the beloved nation. "The Kargil Diwas reminds us of the valour and sacrifices of the Indian armed forces," he added.
The Indian army fought very bravely along with the Indian Air Forces who played the major role during the war and the Indian Battalion regained its position. Indian Army has always safeguarded the nation from alien forces and made us proud every time with their work and sacrifices for the Motherland.
"I salute this army with all my heart who are there for us in every difficult situation," he said adding that Indian Army always remains ready to deal with any eventuality in the country, be there any situation or condition, fighting terrorism, natural calamities, terror attacks or a curfew.
Kargil war is one such incident which cannot be forgotten. "Indian army is like a mother who does work selflessly and never asks for in return. This heroic sacrifice of our army won't be forgotten, and it will always inspire us," Mahajan added. Others were present on the occassion J.J Singh, Brig Mehra, Th. Karnail Chand, Kamal Sharma, Gaurav and others.
