Jammu, July 26 : An influential Inspector of Motor Vehicle Department (MVD) who was posted in Jammu district again managed his choicest posting in home district and started patronizing agents.
According to the sources, the influential inspector was transferred from home district to Jammu two years ago, but he managed his transferred from Jammu and got choicest posting in home district second time within two years with the blessing of the officer of the said department and his political masters.
Although the senior officers of the department are well aware of his track record and his two times posting in his home district, but they again granted him home posting.
If sources are to be believed, the previous MVD inspector also belonged from the same district and he also got choicest posting in home district for some years with blessing of ex cabinet ministers.
Sources claimed that the said Inspector has nexus with agents and the persons who applied for driving licenses in the district through agents have been marked as pass even if they failed to clear the driving test in the trial ground.
Agents charge hefty amount for this and the bounty is shared with the Inspector, said sources. |
