| Many eye-brows raise as Raina, others skip Indresh Kumar's functions | | | Early Times Report
jammu, July 26: State president of BJP Ravinder Raina and other leaders of the party deliberately avoided functions which were addressed by top RSS leader Indresh Kumar during his two-day stay at Jammu. Top BJP leadership was very much aware about visit of Indresh Kumar to Jammu but they were conspicuously absent from his functions.
Speaker of the Legislative Assembly Dr Nirmal Singh and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta were on the dais in a function held at Jammu on Wednesday but other top leaders of the party intentionally skipped the event.
Credible sources said that Indresh Kumar had participated in half a dozen functions during his stay at Jammu but BJP state president and other could not spare some time to meet the veteran Sangh leader who had spent over 17 years in J&K at the time when terrorism was on its peak. Indresh Kumar had addressed a function of Gujjars and Bakerwals at Sanasar but top BJP leadership skipped that important function also.
"There is feeling among present BJP leaders that they are expert on J&K so they do not want any advice and suggestions from veteran RSS leaders", sources said and added that it was also result of factionalism in the Sangh that BJP state president skipped functions of Indresh Kumar. |
