JAMMU, Aug 4: Inter School District Level Tournament for Girls U/19 yrs in the sports discipline of Badminton, Yoga, Thang-tha, Wushu, Squay Martial Art, Judo, Fencing and Gymnastic U/19 yrs Boys and Girls for the year 2018-19 of District Jammu concludes today here at Indoor Complex M.A stadium Jammu. In all 100 Girls were drawn across from 14 Zones of Jammu District were took part in the competitions. The competitions were being organised by Department of Youth Services & Sports under the patronage of Shiekh Fayaz Ahmad, Director General, Youth Services and Sports and under the overall supervision of Madan Lal, Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu. While Chanchal Kour, DYSSO Jammu was the organising Secretary of the said tournament.
The main objective of the competitions is to select the teams of Jammu District for the next level of competitions i.e Inter District, Division Level Competitions. Today's Result Badminton Girls U/19 yrs, Semi Finals, DPS Jammu beat GD Goenika by 2-1, GGHSS Satwari beat APS Miran Sahib by2-0. And finals was GGHSS Satwari beat DPS Jammu by 2-0. Shweta Gupta of S.M. Jain HSS Jammu bagged 1st position, Sudipiti Khanna of JK Public Kunjwani got 2nd position and Aakashika Sharma of KC Public School bagged 3rd position in Gymnastic Girls U/19 yrs, Artistic Gymnastic.
In Rythmic Gymnastic, Sneha Dewan of Oriential Academy Jammu got 1st position, Tawishi Singh of KC Public School 2nd position and Tannu Baloria of May Fair HSS Jammu bagged 3rd position.
In Artistic Gymnastic, Gourav Chettri of Banyan International Jammu bagged 1st position, Manav Gupta of DPS Jammu got 2nd position and 3rd position bagged by Dhruv Dewan of Ranbir HSS Jammu. Matches were officiated by the panel of experts of Department of Youth Services and Sports. |
