Jammu, Aug 4: It may sound bizzare but it is true that family of Shaheed Sanjeev Singh Samyal of Mandi Kheri Samba whose 10th death ceremony was today observed.
With tears in her eyes, Sapna Teji widow of deceased, son, oldage parents and other members and recalled that fateful and unfortunate day of death when Sanjeev had fallen prey of police firing which actually used to control unruly mob protesting in connection with Shri Amarnath Land Row Agitation.
He was sitting around 1000 meter far away near bus stand Samba was a innocent and was not part of the protest .He was working as labourer.
Family members said that one lakh ex gratia was paid at that time by the govt to widow of deceased and temporarily adjusted the widow in red cross society. job @ 3000 pm. Although number of ministers, MLAs visited her residance promised big help but all proved mere hallow slogans, resulting the deceased family could not get neither financial help nor permanent govt job whereas , SRO 177 is in force in state of j&k which deals with such cases clearly. Though Sapna Teji widow of deceased, is qualified as undergraduate with one year computer diploma but govt. job was not approved to her.
She moved pillar to post for last ten years for justice but could not moblise the admadant attitude of selfstyle leaders and bureaucracy, she could have been sustained if the family could be supported timely to manage necessary expenses like schooling of son who is now studying in 12th class but due to weak financial circumstances forcing us to stop the study of son, said SapnaTeji.
She applied for govt permanent job under SRO 177 in march,2015 again when her old file found missing and new file is eating dust in the office of DC, samba for approval.
She blamed to concerned that the attitude towards such cases means playing with sentiments of poor and affected family is a matter grave concern. We are facing very bad situation that every year on death anniversary we are being highlighted among public by representatives without giving any help, they said.
